A Weekend Worth Dancing For

This past Saturday Virginia Tech and Washington Lee University hosted their Dance Marathon. Both schools programs were entirely student-run and donated 100 percent of the funds they raised to our local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, Carilion Children’s.

Students spend a year learning invaluable leadership and life skills by raising funds in a variety of ways, interacting with Carilion Children’s Hospital’s patients and families. The year culminates with their Dance Marathon event where students stay on their feet for a set amount of time through dancing, games and entertainment in symbolic support of children.

We are thrilled to say that combined the two schools raised over $18,000.00 for Carilion Children’s. All funds raised will go back to help the patients and families right here in Southwest Virginia who are treated at Carilion Children’s.
